Angel Cancelled

Angel, the spinoff from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, is being cancelled. Five seasons, the show featured the usual Whedon quirky writing but with a more serious tone than Buffy.
I don’t know if I’m alone, but I like Joss Whedons stuff. He’s got a decent sense of humor, and a pretty decent wit, for somebody from Hollywood. Too bad for some reason the networks apparently don’t like him. Take firefly for example, what a hell of a show. One of my favorites, not even a full season, and yet, when the DVD hit the shelves, boom, record setting sales. So now, there.s a firefly movie in the mix.
Family Guy was dead for a while too, cancelled 2-3 times, but yet the DVD sales made the marketing folks think. “Gee, we sell millions of copies of the old episodes, wonder what people would do for new ones!”
Too many good shows bite the dust lately; it’s mildly pissing me off. I just got Jenn into watching Angel, and she likes it. Which is saying something, because Jenn doesn’t watch much TV, but yet, she likes angel and even bought me season 2 for a Birthday present, and I’m buying season 3 this month.

Cancelling Angel was, I think, the worst possible thing that could happen. Next to Buffy Angel was the best show on TV. The way Angel ended was also too open. they left everyone hanging in the middle of a battle.

I think that cancelling Angel right now is a huge mistake. The WB only has four good shows: Smallville, One Tree Hill, Everwood, and Angel. So now I guess there will only be three. I still don’t understand why they’re cancelling it. From what I hear, Angel gets good ratings so what’s the problem? I have watched Buffy and Angel religiously and I think that cancelling Buffy was the right thing to do because the story was getting a little bland. But Angel is still exciting and interesting. In my opinion, the storyline right now is the best so far. One last thing. How do they expect to end the show right with only six more episodes left. In closing, I believe that there is still a lot more about the Angel saga that needs to be told. You are going to have a lot of disappointed fans on your hands.
